We are pleased to share some exciting news with you today!
Our partner, Check Point® Software Technologies Ltd., signed a definitive agreement to acquire Perimeter 81 on 10 August 2023. Under the terms of the deal, Check Point acquired Perimeter 81 for approximately USD 490 million. With this acquisition, Check Point will help organizations accelerate the adoption of the most secure and fastest SSE solution on the market.
What is SSE?
SSE is a set of security services consisting of three main components:● Secure Web Gateway (SWG);● Cloud Access Security Broker (CASB);● Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA).
Israeli company Perimeter 81, recognized as a Forrester Zero Trust Wave leader, offers an innovative approach to SSE that combines cloud and device security. Check Point intends to leverage Perimeter 81's capabilities and integrate them into the Check Point Infinity architecture to provide a unified security solution for network, cloud, and remote users based on industry-leading threat prevention. Based on this news, we anticipate new products and solutions will be offered to our customers shortly!
This agreement will undoubtedly be a new step in developing Check Point and the global cybersecurity industry as a whole.
