ITS INVENTORY

Complete information about all your assets in a single application

The ITS Inventory app helps companies organize quick access to disparate inventory information about all components of the organization's IT infrastructure. IT specialists, SOC analysts, and security staff can quickly get the most detailed data about servers, workstations, network devices, and other components of complex IT systems. This greatly simplifies work, increases the efficiency of incident analysis, and helps identify configuration errors and weaknesses in the IT infrastructure.
Inventory of hardware, software, configuration data, and employee accounts remains one of the main challenges in asset management. Typically, this information is stored in many uncoordinated documents, which creates a risk of losing relevance. Uncertainty about the components of the IT infrastructure — where they operate, what conditions they are in, who is responsible for them, and who has access to IT systems — which makes it challenging to manage and protect the infrastructure from modern threats effectively.
The product has been tested, approved by IBM, and published in the official app store.

Key Benefits of ITS Inventory:

Consolidation of all actual data on all IT assets in a single interface

Harmonization and normalization of asset data

Identification of asset owners and allocation of responsibility

Completeness of asset information and avoidance of “white spots” to reduce risks

Online tracking of various changes in IT infrastructure

Data enrichment for better work of SOC analysts

How it works

ITS Inventory constantly collects, aggregates, and enriches various data about IT infrastructure to provide analysts, administrators, business process owners, developers, security managers, and executives with the information they need to do their jobs. This product can act as a data source for external systems. Thanks to its built-in and well-documented REST API, ITS Inventory can provide information for Business Intelligence (BI), Business Process Automation, IT Accounting (CMDB), IT Process Management, Service Desk, and change management systems.
ITS Inventory allows you to register your inventory use cases (use cases). An inventory scenario is an automatic check of the status of various parameters based on asset information. If the asset falls within the logic of the detection rules described in the scenario, a new event is generated for it or the detection is recorded in an existing event if there are currently triggers for this asset and this use case in the list of active events. Scenarios help to identify deviations and anomalies in the relevant assets and detect potential threats, which allows you to respond to them faster.

Platform and description of its work

The main logic of ITS Inventory is built on the Worker backend service written in Node.JS. Its multi-threaded architecture allows for the most efficient use of platform resources, supporting work in containerized or cloud environments. Worker collects data using connectors, which minimizes the load on the infrastructure. Today, ITS Inventory has more than 60 connectors to various systems, and their number is constantly growing. You can find a detailed list of existing connectors here
The system configuration module simplifies saving settings, providing easy data backup and migration. With minimal delays, the JSON RESTful API offers easy integration with other services, such as CMDB, BI, or SOAR. The built-in database allows you to store data on network components and flexibly manage the polling frequency of connected systems.
Worker continuously analyzes connected data sources and collects up-to-date information about assets from them. This information is stored in the internal storage (database cache), which provides constant access to the most relevant information. Data from different sources are correlated based on specific properties, compared with each other, analyzed, and formalized based on a graph model of relationships for display in a graphical interface. The worker's analysis cycle is optimized so that users can access up-to-date inventory information in close to real-time. The number and specific list of information sources depend on the IT infrastructure and the systems available, and they are customized individually. Typically, customers integrate ITS Inventory with cloud services, virtualization systems, infrastructure monitoring systems, network management systems, SOC systems, antivirus systems, etc.

ITS Inventory can be deployed in two ways:

● As an extension to IBM QRadar SIEM;● Stand-alone solution on the ITS Engine Platform server.
Regardless of the chosen deployment method, ITS Inventory can integrate with many data sources, such as Splunk, ArcSight, McAfee, LogPoint, ELK, or third-party security systems.

ITS Userventory

ITS Userventory is a full-featured application that provides structured, enriched, and up-to-date information about infrastructure user accounts. The functionality implemented in ITS Userventory provides SOC analysts, administrators, and IS managers with a comprehensive set of tools to solve user management problems.
ITS Inventory and ITS Userventory have the same architecture and functionality, so ITS Userventory can be seen as an extension of the inventory capabilities of technical assets (which is what ITS Inventory does) and user accounts of IT assets.
