There is a lot of information on the Internet on business application integration, integration data bus, enterprise data bus, enterprise service bus, ESB, etc. These are all different topics, but they are all about the same thing. Let's discuss this topic with Dmytro Chub, Head of Integration Solutions at IT Specialist, one of the Ukrainian business application integration market leaders.

In other words, the speed of service delivery will not meet customers' current needs.
Please give us an example from your practice to understand how the ESB works.
There are many examples from our practice, but the two most illustrative ones will suffice.
Example one:
Issuing a loan in a bank online. It is an essential service. What happens to such a service in the modern world? Such loans are issued within a very short period.
Before issuing a loan, the bank needs to obtain information about the client from systems such as:● ABS (automated banking system);● Credit bureaus;● Electronic archive;● Other systems used by the bank.
Moreover, the information should be provided in a convenient, complete, and structured form.
All banks make loan decisions in different ways. But they were always based on this structured data.
If a bank does not have an integration data bus, it can take a long time to collect and structure such data, and the most important thing is the quality of this data. Will the client want to wait for a long time? No. He will likely find another bank to provide him with a loan quickly.
Representatives of a large bank contacted our company IT Specialist. We started by designing an integration solution and completed its implementation. As a result, the bank's list of business products now includes an online tool for obtaining the information needed to make a loan decision.
Second example:
A telecommunications operator provides services to its subscribers through the "My Account." This account should display information about the balance, connected services, new tariff plans, promotions, etc. The necessary information for the customer should be collected online by such systems as billing, corporate data warehouse, application management system, customer database, etc.
Our integration solution made it possible to quickly (up to 15 seconds) collect (from at least 10 backend systems) and provide the necessary information in a structured form in a user-friendly interface.
Achieving such speed with decentralized data storage is very difficult without integration services.● What tools do you use for your integration solutions?● We use integrated solutions from IBM to implement integration solutions.
