Our cooperation with Foxteam Digital, which provides comprehensive IT services to national companies such as the Foxtrot retail chain, began before the COVID-19 pandemic. Initially, we received a request to modernize the network due to outdated equipment and install modern WI-FI.
With the pandemic's start, new challenges have arisen for Foxteam Digital and its clients, forcing us to modify and adapt the project to the new conditions. The main goal is to ensure uninterrupted remote work and a high level of cybersecurity.
Our team has successfully organized secure remote work for all employees and clients, and the solutions implemented at that time significantly contributed to the full-scale war with the aggressor country, providing the company with an effective means of solving essential tasks.
We created the Cisco Identity Services Engine platform to manage identification and access control processes. It helps to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, increase corporate IT infrastructure security, and simplify network service management.
The solution's unique architecture allows you to receive real-time contextual information from networks, users, and devices to make proactive access decisions. All decisions are based on a single access policy that applies to wired network segments, wireless network segments, and remote access connections.
The Cisco Identity Services Engine automatically detects and classifies endpoint devices, provides the required level of access, and authenticates both users and devices. It also ensures that endpoints meet regulatory requirements by assessing their security posture before granting access to the corporate IT infrastructure.
Our next decision was to implement Cisco FirePower, which allows us to uncover threats, strengthen security policies, detect, block, protect the network from attacks, close security gaps, and prevent future attacks by providing comprehensive protection before, during, and after an attack.
The Cisco FirePower system is deployed based on the FirePower 4115 Security Appliance in a fault-tolerant configuration to ensure continuous control of user access to company resources and protect the corporate network from cyber threats.
In addition to the above, we have implemented the Cisco Advanced Malware Protection (AMP) system. It covers the entire period of an attack (before, during, and after) with continuous analysis and advanced analytics that support Cisco's retrospective security capabilities.
With these retrospective security tools, it is possible to determine the scope and establish control in case of a breach. It allows the security team to quickly and effectively eliminate all environmental threats.
Another solution we decided to implement was to install the advanced email security system Cisco Email Security Appliance.
This tool offers easy use, quick deployment with few maintenance requirements, low latency, and minimal operating costs.
The main advantages of this system:● Quickly blocks new viruses spread via email;● Strong spam filter (over 99%);● Low consumption of network resources;● Minimal administration requirements;● Advanced protection against malicious programs;● Internet tracking;● Monitoring of sent messages.
A feature of the Cisco ESA system is providing full-fledged email protection against malware using the built-in Cisco Advanced Malware Protection.
The Cisco Email Security Appliance is deployed in a virtualization system in a fault-tolerant configuration to ensure continuous operation of email services and scanning for cyber threats.
We also implemented Cisco SMA, a single interface for managing email security devices. The Secure Email and Web Manager content security management appliance enables email administrators to collect and generate email reports in one place and provides centralized quarantine functionality, greatly simplifying the administration of Cisco ESA solutions.
In addition, our team installed a Cisco Catalyst 9800-L. It is a stationary wireless controller with the ability to update software seamlessly.
It is characterized by high availability and uninterrupted software updates, which ensures the constant availability of services in planned and unplanned cases.
The Cisco WiFi system is deployed based on the Cisco Catalyst 9800-L in a fault-tolerant configuration to ensure continuous user access to the company's resources and protect the corporate network from cyber threats.
The implemented technological solutions supported the continuous work of Foxteam Digital and its clients in a remote format and became an effective tool in the face of global challenges.
